Denver Comic Con Rocks!

I was honored and delighted to be a guest author at Denver Comic Con 2018 and I had a rousing good time! Love the people that run the organization, and I love the Pop Culture Classroom mission and focus. It's hard not to be happy to play even a small role in supporting their success.

And who doesn't love supporting an amazing organization while having fun at the same time? Denver Comic Con was non-stop action and non-stop fun. First I must say THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by my booth to chat about books and dogs and cosplay. Thank you, too, to the folks that attended the panels I sat on during the con. There were so many great questions and discussions. I always learn something from these panels and this year was no exception.

Have I mentioned how much fun I had? :) I did the total fangirl thing and met Alan Tudyk as well as Kristian Nairn (Hodor!), and both were kind and friendly and fun. Alan snuck in an extra autograph for me on my Con Man sweatshirt (sweet!), and I was thrilled to have my picture taken with Kristian. (And no, I'm not on a first name basis with either of them, but it seemed weirder to write "Mr. Tudyk" and "Mr. Nairn," or use their full names again, so, yeah. :) ) My brother and I also had our picture taken with Star Wars actors Daniel Logan (Boba Fett), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), and Ray Park (Darth Maul). I think my brother and Ray Park could have gone head to head in a muscle competition. Not so much Daniel Logan. LOL

More fun came with the interviews I did with some cool and talented people. If you're interested, you can see / hear me on Nerds That Geek (video), Kaiju No Kami (video), Thinking Outside the Longbox (audio), and get your groove on on Groovey TV (video). Or if you prefer a quieter option you can read interviews at The Game of Nerds, and Nerd Alert News. Phew!

It was days of running and talking and laughing and I loved every minute. Can't wait for next year! Thanks DCC!
